Perseverance
Okay, I know I haven’t posted in a long time. Been busy. So I’m going to borrow something my current instructor posted on my online classroom, as a reminder to keep going:
“He failed in business in ’31.
He was defeated for state legislator in ’32.
He tried another business in ’33. It failed.
His fiancĂ©e died in ’35.
He had a nervous breakdown in ’36.
In ’43 he ran for congress and was defeated.
He tried again in ’48 and was defeated again.
He tried running for the Senate in ’55. He lost.
The next year he ran for Vice President and lost.
In ’59 he ran for the Senate again and was defeated.
In 1860, the man who signed his name A. Lincoln, was elected the 16th President of the United States. The difference between history’s boldest accomplishments and its most staggering failures is often, simply, the diligent will to persevere.”-Author Unknown

Blowing in the Wind
Forecast: Wind and lots of it
Weird thing is that it seems everyone is experiencing something out of the ordinary this weekend. I don’t know what it is exactly, but I just pray that it all works out for the good of everyone. This may not what each of us has planned, but what God has going for us is much better outcome than we would expect it to be if our plans go the way we want it to. We just have to trust Him.
Personally, its been a learning experience as I’ve never been good about letting go of control and tread carefully into the future, but I have to let go. I should be more positive and upbeat with my outlook and believe the best outcome is possible. I need to pray and rely on my faith that everything will be okay… actually better than okay for God’s in control of all things.
As I was about to sign off, I am reminded that I shouldn’t pay attention to the wind or multitude of things happening around me. God is in the stillness; use meditation or other ways to simply tune everything else out and God will speak to one’s heart, no matter how hard you think you can be.

Trayvon & Caylee – Florida’s Victims
I know there are only a few of you who are reading this, but does it feel that there is no justice for those children who lost their lives too early in the state of Florida?
Now, don’t get me wrong I have family and friends living in the “Sunshine State” and am actually planning on visiting down there in the next couple of years, but God forbid anything ever happens to my nieces, nephews, or friend’s children because it seems like Florida drops the ball when it comes to bringing justice to those children who were harmed by idiots.
Let’s look at Casey Anthony who was acquitted for killing her own daughter; lying about it and partying in the process. Yet, she’s now living her life, while her baby girl never got the chance.
Then this George Zimmerman is still free from hunting down and killing an innocent kid. The evidence released to the public, 911 recordings namely, has given the impression the guy is guilty for doing so. If he is innocent, no evidence has been shared to deter me from believing otherwise. However, the state of Florida still doesn’t have him in custody, even for his own protection, whether from himself or the public lynch mob. Either way, he needs to be detained for further questioning.
Would I like justice done in those cases? Absolutely. These kids don’t a voice, and Florida needs to do a better job in making sure their voices are heard in the court system.
